Baby, its cold outside
…but real warm in here.
We loved working with this band. Great musicians from Leeds with an exceptional frontman – Chris James – a musical virtuoso who has performed and toured with a hell of a lot of great acts like Gavin Castleton and DJ Shadow.
Working with Chris was great, he was completely open minded about things whilst having a very clear idea of how he wanted to communicate. An example of this was his way of expressing his band Stateless – “we’re cold outside, but extremely warm on the inside”.
This led to an awful lot of very visceral experimentation (in a Vaughan Oliver style) involving sheets upon sheets of layered ice, transparencies, blood, guts, Coke, and exploding scanners… Amazing fun.
